Tanja Askani – AWESOME Wild Animal Photography

Tanja Askani – AWESOME Wild Animal Photography

Yesterday I had some beautiful wild animal pictures in my Inbox. I managed to track down where they originally come from, send out on e-mail and asked for permission to publish them on my Blog.

Unfortunately because of the copyright my request to show some of the photos on here was denied.

Fortunately I can post the link. You must look at them. They are absolutely AWESOME!!!! I could look at them all day ;-)

Click here and follow the link to “Tanja Askani”. Tanya is an expert on wolfs, artist and she is also an author since 1990

Once you are on the site click on “Fotographie”, followed by clicking on the individual titles.

Also click here to view related website “Fishing4Natur.

Did you know that (if you’re using Microsoft Explorer) you can get an automatic translation of any webpage by right-clicking on the page and choosing “Translate Page Into English”?

The translation can be pretty rough (and sometimes hilarious) but at least you can get an idea of what the text is about.

Someone e-mailed the “Bambi and Thumper” photos to me without credit (a shortcoming of the internet explosion in my way of thinking), but I could see Tanja’s name at the bottom of the photos, so I googled it and your site was one of several that came up. I just spent a couple of hours exploring her whole site. So, thanks for the link.

Another lover of the Law (LOA of course).

Hi Lucy – yes, I know about the translation sites, but I haven’t had to use them yet ;-)

Same here, the pics were sent to me in an e-mail and I had to find out who took them. I also had permission to post them, as they are of course copyrighted. When I receive permission for posting, I always add the source underneath.

These pictures are ALL so absolutely gorgeous.

I would like to know if Tanja Askani has a book in English. Or does she have a book just with pictures? I saw the adorable deer/rabbit picture. How could I get a picture of one of those? Does she sell the pictures?

  • Viola says:

Hi Diane. I know what you mean. These pictures are all so beautiful, innocent and how it really should be.

It may be best if you go on the website http://www.tanja-askani.de and http://www.natur.fishing4.de – leave a message on their contacts with your questions. Unfortunaely it is all in German. It seems easier than you and I corresponding. It be nice if you let me know how you are getting on. If you are stuck in any kind of way, get back to me, as I am German and may be able to translate for you if you wish.

  • Hello!

I am also a nature and animal enthusiast and artist. I am in awe of Tanja’s ability to capture such beauty and innocence in her photo’s. At this time I would like to ask permission to use one of her photos for reference to render a woodburning. I have used other wildlife photographers images in the past alway’s having permission granted first out of respect and courtesy. Please check out my website and see for yourself the work I do. I am not sure how I can contact Tanja herself to ask. If you could let me know who I can contact to ask permission I would be most grateful.
    Thank you
    sincerely,
    Marina Zavitz
