Stress Management | Don’t Fall into the Trap of Negative Thinking

We all get stressed at times and I find that it is vital to remember that our goal of challenging negative thinking isn’t as easy as to just simply replace our negative thoughts with positive ones. To just have positive thoughts wouldn’t be realistic and therefore they wouldn’t be believable to us. We have to make it our goal to think in a more rational way in order to make us feel more balanced.

We have all been there and know that negative thinking can be very challenging. I think that coming up with a more balanced view would be more believable to us.

Stress is everywhere, from work to family, to financial as well as relationship issues. It is the way we respond to it that is important and what we can do to “get it under control”.

Stress happens when we see something as threatening. When we believe that we can’t cope with it. When we think we haven’t got what it takes to handle it.

It is about changing the response by changing our beliefs or our perceptions of the typical patterns of stressed thinking.

Sit down, relax and pay attention to your stressful thoughts, to the way that you think and don’t fall into the “trap” of negative thinking.
