Wildlife Travel – Worldwide Wildlife Viewing With Local Experts

Wildlife Travel – Worldwide Wildlife Viewing With Local Experts

Submitted by Ina Woolcott

“Wildlife Travel” was set up 21 years ago to support conservation. Destinations include the UK, Europe and worldwide. “Wildlife Travel” are extremely proud of their holidays and believe that their holidays are very different to any other. However, there are many travel companies out there organising holidays to wonderful parts of the world. So why, you may ask, should you choose to travel with “Wildlife Travel”? What makes the company so different?

For “Wildlife Travel“, their conservation credentials aren’t just a case of ‘green wash’, they are central to the way the holidays and business function. “Wildlife Travel” was set up with the express aim of supporting nature conservation. Any profit made is donated to The Wildlife Trusts to support their vital conservation work in the UK.

Wherever possible they work directly with nature conservation organisations in the host countries to support their activities. For instance, their trip to Bulgaria is organised to support the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, while the stay in the Peruvian rainforest will contribute to the work of the Tambopata Research Centre, studying scarlet macaws. All leaders either work in, or have direct links with, nature conservation.

A programme is being developed offering more holidays that don’t require air travel. It is now possible to travel to several European destinations by train.

“Wildlife Travel” are also working closely with the local “Wildlife Trusts” in the UK to develop a programme of UK breaks, offering wildlife viewing with the local experts.

Look out for more news on the trips as they become available on the website:

Man was made for Joy and Woe | William Blake Quote

Man was made for Joy and Woe | William Blake Quote

This is one of my favourite quotes. It is so meaningful.

“Man was made for joy and woe
and when this we rightly know
through the world we safely go.
Joy and woe are woven fine
A clothing for the soul divine.”

~ William Blake

Merry Christmas to All Of You

Merry Christmas to All Of You

It is time again for the ‘usual’ celebrations. I hope you will enjoy the festive time as much as I will. I have had an invite to good to be true, so I am away for a few days/nights. I cannot wait! ;-)

I hope you like my little video – if nothing else, it made me laugh.

Sun Care Central, ALL Natural Suncare | How do you treat your skin?

Sun Care Central, ALL Natural Suncare | How do you treat your skin?

The weather is not going to get any better and if you are planning that special time away, you may want to consider using natural suncare products. And if you are not, you may want to look into it. What’s the point in spending money on an exotic holiday and trying to save on your health?

This is my youngest daughter Kelly

Kelly

Kelly, is off to Tenerife in a couple of weeks and asked me to place and order online with Sun Care Central – ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS, as she has an allergic reaction to chemical products. Usually she blisters on her chest in NO time already on her first day. Not at all surprising, considering all the chemicals that go into ‘normal’ products.

Kelly’s Natural Suncare Products are in the post and I have also taken the liberty to order the after sun. ;-)

€ 18 each sounds a bargain, taken into account how important it is what we put on our skin!

SPF #4 Natural Sunscreen – 6oz
Our SPF 4 lotion, with special blends of Rose Hips Oil, Aloe, Titanium, and other exotics is formulated to PROMOTE safe, even tanning over most of the body. These should be used on those parts of the body with better sun tolerance (thicker skin away from the bone), and those areas already having a good base tan.

Pure Aloe & Tea Tree Oil – 6oz
Our Pure Aloe with Tea Tree Oil combines the exceptional healing power of Pure Aloe and Tea Tree Oil with the soothing & cooling effects of Eucalyptus for immediate relief of sunburn pain. Promotes healing of sun-damaged skin, and should always be used with our Rosehip Aloe for best results, especially for salvaging sunburned skin & converting it to tanned skin.

In addition to being excellent for sunburns, our Pure Aloe is also very effective with insect bites, kitchen burns, shaving and other skin irritations, jellyfish stings and, when used with our Rosehip Aloe, Eczema and Rosacea. Keep on ice or in your refrigerator for maximum soothing & cooling and for best overall results.

If you are already using natural products, you may want to share your views with us.

Chemical and Natural Ingredients list – SHOCKING what we put on our skin.

Choosing the right GPS

Choosing the right GPS

Posted by Viola Woolcott

How do you navigate?
How organised are you?
Where are you going?
How rich are you?
How good do you want to look?

Here is a guide to picking the right GPS for use in the outdoors. Look at the pros and cons of traditional GPS units from Garmin and Magellan, PDAs and mobile phones with digital mapping and newer entrants like the SatMap and Road Angel.

The choice is yours!

Are You Right or Left Brained?

Are You Right or Left Brained?

Good question. But whatever the answer is, we only use such a little part of our brain, what is the rest doing? Have you ever wondered?

Well, this is supposed to be my outcome below. I’m not that sure about it though.

You Are 45% Left Brained, 55% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you’re left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you’re right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

The Meaning Of Love by Rumi

The Meaning Of Love by Rumi

The word Love should be used when you you mean it. And if you mean it, you should say it a lot. But people forget. Jack has send me this. What a nice thing to receive in your inbox first thin in the morning.

The Meaning of Love

Both light and shadow
are the dance of Love.

Love has no cause;
it is the astrolabe of God’s secrets.

Lover and Loving are inseparable
and timeless.

Although I may try to describe Love
when I experience it I am speechless.

Although I may try to write about Love
I am rendered helpless;
my pen breaks and the paper slips away
at the ineffable place where Lover, Loving
and Loved are one.

Every moment is made glorious
by the light of Love.

~ Rumi

I don’t know what it is, but for some reason I love this photo and find it hard to take my eyes of it. The longer I look at it, the more meaningful it becomes to me. What do you think?

Validation – The Magic of Free Parking | Hugh Newman

Validation – The Magic of Free Parking | Hugh Newman

“Validation” is a fable about the magic of free parking and more.

Hugh Newman just likes to see people smile. This is one of the most inspiring short films I have seen in ages. Worth every 16:24 minutes. I loved it and it for sure made ME smile ;-)
