Karma - BEWARE, Debt Collectors Always Find You!
I cannot stress enough that Karma is more than important. And that isn’t ONLY if you are a spiritual person… even if you happen not to be a spiritual person, that makes it is even more important as I bet you are most probably doing things - very bad things.
We all know about Karma and it isn’t at all complicated to understand. In fact, it is quite simple. Lets say we see Karma like some kind of bank account. Kind of “do something good” and your Karma account goes into credit. “Do something bad” and your Karma account goes into debit. By making more karmic withdrawals such as pinching things from the cupboard at work, or (I hope not!) finding enjoyment in watching someone in pain and suffer, than karmic deposits such as helping the old, fragile lady across the road or feeding the hungry man on the street, you’ll be going into karmic debt. Of course, just like with every bank account, interest will be added on this debt. In this case, karmic interest. The interest is high. And there you are again, back in the karmic black. That means that you find yourself having to do even better and even more difficult, harder things next time, such as setting up a monthly payment to a charity or maybe saying sorry to someone you really can’t stand, and saying sorry is the worst thing you can imagine at the time.
Things can get even worse and you could be using an unauthorised karmic overdraft, lets say for example smacking a child and quite enjoying it. That could put you well beyond the limits of your karmic ‘spending’ limits. Surely you already worked out that your interest rate would increase as well as grow even quicker. And when you think that you got away with it, things can even get worse - how about shoplifting over and over again - and that in the same corner shop? That of course would create what I call ’karmic standing order’. Are you getting it? DON’T do it!
Certain levels of ‘reasonable, modest’ karmic debt is perfectly acceptable. But be aware, as you could get into very serious trouble if your karmic spending gets out of control by making regular karmic withdrawals.
And how about chronic karmic debt? The one where any repayments don’t even cover and pay off the interest? And imagine the karmic capital owed stays untouched? What a bloody nightmare!
It gets worse - and dare you if you don’t do something about it. Be aware that you’ll automatically be subject to penalty payments and that is when ‘unwanted’ things happen in your life to sort and rebalance the debts on your account. Even worse, they relate in nature to what you were doing in the first place to get into this debt. And be aware that the re-payment is even worse. Have you ever chocked on one of the sweets you stole earlier on in the corner shop? Remember, the one you secretly took and hid in your pocket?
It’s a ‘game’, quite a dangerous game to play, but don’t worry, no matter how ‘painful’, these ‘large’ re-payments can wipe out ‘large’ chunks of your accumulated debts immediately.
You have nothing to worry about the ‘little’ sins here and there. Go on, you can admit it, the little once are fun. The very low rates of interest is very cheap and of course, you wouldn’t want to miss out on them as they are too good to miss.
I am sure we all know of people who try paying off their karmic debt every months. I call them the dull people. I’m convinced you know the once I mean. The once that make sure that their karmic debt is always in credit. The goody-two-shoes. The holier-than-holy. These are all a real pain in the spiritual butt. Don’t you agree?
And of course, there is also the other extreme. The OVERSPENDER, the one where the ‘overspending’ gets really out of hand. Where they find themselves paying the ultimate penalty. The one where their whole entire karmic overdraft is called in - and that IN ONE FULL FINAL PAYMENT. Are you getting it? Do you know what I am talking about? I call it terminal karmic bankruptcy! Not that I want to worry you, but it could NOT be worse than that. If one full final payment isn’t enough to discharge your debt, what’s left over will stay as a debt, it will be carried over and you will have to start your ‘next time’ round in the red.
And here is my final thought and something for you to remember:
Not only have karmic ‘bank managers’ long, LONG memories, but karmic debt collectors ALWAYS find you and they ALWAYS get you, no matter if you are a man, a woman, a child or an animal. And I have no doubt, neither do I want to scare you, but the last thing you and I really want is a shitty eternal karmic credit rating.

Viola,
This is an awesome post I so much agree with you here. I have heard of Karma bank account before but never in such detail. It’s funny as a debt collector myself. The people that lie are only fooling themselves. Eventually, they will pay. Either in their time or money.

Hi Rick - I must say, it’s one of my favourite posts
… and I believe it to be true. What comes around goes around, and like you say, eventually everyone will ‘pay’ their debt, be it in time, money or even health. That is something to take serious and NOT ‘fool’ around with. There is no getting away, the debt collectors will always find you

Hi hon,
This was interesting but I must say that this is actually a very, very inaccurate reading of what ‘karma’ is, at least in the classical Vedic sense.
‘Karma’ describes a very specific notion that we live out some things in this life as ‘karmic’ rather than as a result of our own conscious decisions. This is NOT a ‘comeuppance’ for bad deeds. Basically as spiritual entities we wish to experience all realities and see what the limits of our experience can be. It is also about learning and so these karmic life lessons are like experiments in experience. Why do some women constantly find themselves in abusive relationships? I am not saying that they are consciously seeking them out, more that they are attracting them on a karmic level until they learn the life lesson that abuse is not love. In another lifetime that same woman may be reborn as an abusive man to experience the other side of the coin. Like children, we are endlessly curious and attempt to experience everything going. That means that in some lifetimes we’ll have a ‘heavy karma’ like that of the murderer and in others we’ll have a ‘light karma’ say that of a prosperous and happy man. Sometimes those that do a lot of good are experiencing the heaviest of karmas, think of the doctor that joins up to work for free in war zones and sees terrible things daily. He is doing a lot of good but his life experience will naturally be ‘heavy’. While it is true that for societal good and for ‘justice’ we need to have laws that should be obeyed, once we enter the spiritual domain the dualistic idea of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ simply doesn’t exist. Certainly the ancient Vedic texts have no notion of heaven and hell. The attainment of ultimate enlightenment simply dissolves the dualism and also the need to reincarnate to learn anything further as you’ve now done it all, seen it all, got the T-shirt etc.
On a personal note, I have seen the misery caused by debt collectors and I personally know of one person who committed suicide because of them. Debt collectors are a terrible example to use; they are the instruments of a repressive capitalist regime that steals from people through morally inexcusable interest rates and charges and which places the interests of banks over human beings. I think the world would be a much better place if debt collection didn’t exist as a profession.

This is one of the most crass posts I have ever had the displeasure of reading and I am surprised that Viola would write such drivel under the guise of a spiritual diatribe.
For a number of years large credit corporations have enticed individuals to spend more than they earn. These companies are the spawn of the devil! Advertising, duping the unwitting masses that they are not whole unless they have a widescreen 50″ plasma TV, or that special pampering makeover, or holiday in the Sun, or new car, or whatever……
These corporations do not face the consequences of their own irresponsible lending and when things go ‘tits up’ they offload the debt to the people whom you are freely advertising for. Parasites, the devils demons, who feed on the misery of the masses through hounding bully boy tactics. These people contribute absolutely squat to the creative process of life. They sell their own souls to the corporations with the false conviction of doing the right thing. These are the people who will have a heavy conscience and karmic burden when they pressurize the next pensioner who cannot face the crippling cost of utility bills and council tax!
Mark my words the bubble is about to burst and the economy is going to come crashing down around everyones ears. With the turbulence of several Tsunami’s these people will be the first to tumble as the true value of an individual will be their contribution, not their material possessions. I would personally welcome the the complete annilation of all debt collectors along with traffic wardens, estate agents, politicians and lawyers and anyone else who makes money from the deceit or oppression of his/her fellow man/woman.
Dare to print this Ms ‘Dare to be Aware’ and you will experience a groundswell of opinion in the masses that says enough is enough! It is time that people took back the right to freedom of choice and kicked this developing Nazi state firmly back into the last century where it should be buried. The freedom to enjoy fair priced fuel, fair priced energy, fair priced utilities, healthcare that makes you well again, to live an uncompromising life of truth and service to humanity so that we can all benefit.
I have an attitude of gratitude for the gift that you have presented, allowing this counter argument.
