Karen Ann Davenport and her daughter Shannon from Orlando, Florida are taking legal action against Kelly Filkins for scamming them on eBay.

is this for real? if it is, then i do find Judge Judys comments a bit harsh at times about the defendants children and her capability of being a mum. who knows why this girl was so desperate for money…

ps judge judy didnt even let the girl get a word in edge ways. also JJ said that the girl wouldnt be as intelligent as her in 120 years, later she changed that to 150. also contracdicted herself on something else she said….
To be honest, I have put this into my “Laughter Category” as I found it quite funny. Having said that, if the girl(Kelly Filkins)did what they say, to me that is fraud. Glad not to be in her shoes.

Kelly Filkins’ conduct is criminal. In fact, her actions constitute a felony. And she’s running her criminal business out of her house just like a crack dealer runs his business out of his house. She has three complaints against her with the Attorney General, so this isn’t an isolated incident. She makes her living out of cheating people. No child should be raised in her house. Child Protective Services would be derelict if they didn’t remove the children from that home, were they made aware of the situation. Children shouldn’t be raised by repeat felons.
Re: Inky’s comments: I don’t care how desperate somebody is for money, there’s no excuse to scam another person! Nobody should have to be punished for being a law-abiding and working citizen. And yeah, forgiving is nice, but Kelly showed absolutely NO remorse for what she did. Try thinking about yourself being on the “scamee” side of the table. Kelly is an absolute embarrassment and disgrace as a “human being”.
kelly filkins(scammer) got what she deserved,,,what would of happened if she got away with it ?,,,,her kids might end up just like her,,,very bad example as a parent and a person.
I must once again agree that she is not an example for ‘good’ parenting. That would be my main concern.
Um, on this show, Kelly did _not_ get her just desserts. The TV show paid the plaintiffs.
In a way Kelly did get her just desserts. She may have not have had to pay the plaintiffs but she exposed herself as a scammer on national tv by being stupid enough to agree to go on Judge Judy.
She absolutely got the punishment she deserved and you people are mistaken, the show only pays the litigants $500.00ea so she will have to come up with $4,500.00 out of her own pocket. Why this moron would put herself in the position to 1st off look like an absolute morally bankrupt person in front of millions of people for a paltry $500.00 bucks is completely beyond me but she also has put her family in the unenviable position of being the likely target for non stop harassment and possibly the more serious issue of being a target for violence! This does bring her mental pedagree into question as far as her ability to adequately care for those kids, did she not think of these risks prior to exposing her and her family to the millions of people (many who are as unstable as she is) who watched that program? Seems to me that house might be the perfect example for the type of parents CPS should be investigating!
For those the say JJ was harsh, grow a set already! I think she wasn’t harsh enough! The BS Kelli pulled, with the adacity to think she’d get away with it by smuggly saying, “It’s not my fault they can’t read” deserved a good lecture from the judge. They obviously can read; it’s not THEIR fault Kelli is a leech on society and feels it’s ok to deceive people out of their hard earn money. Trust me, had Kelli pulled that crap on me it would have had a VERY different outcome. Eye for an eye…
Why would anyone sympathise with the scammer? This woman is the scum of the earth and she got off easy. I hope she does time. Who cares if she didn’t get a word in.
