Easter Island | A Warning for Planet Earth

I can’t explain why, but for as long as I can remember, I have had a fascination with Easter Island.
This video in particular caught my attention - with a powerful message we would all do well to remember.
It is a clip from the BBC series, State of the Planet. First, one of the great scientists and naturalists of our time, Edward O. Wilson speaks on the importance of “preservation of the creation”. Then David Attenborough discusses the fall of the Easter Island society and the warning its ravaged territory proclaims to our society today.
