Take time off for Christmas

Take time off for Christmas

It’s the final week before Christmas and I am sure that you owe it to yourself to take a few days off, and spend quality time with your friends and family.

Take time to reflect and be thankful for the good fortunes that have come your way in the past year, whether these fortunes showed up in new friends, maybe new relationships, new interesting opportunities, continued good health or even economic growth.

Regardless of how 2010 played out for you, the new coming year will bring even more new opportunities, most probably new challenges, followed by new adventures, which I am sure will keep you busy.

So go on, take a few days off. Enjoy the season . . . and hey, don’t forget to take photos of you, your family and friends and share them with us.

SO here is me wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas followed by a happy and safe start of the New Year.

Snow, Ice, Walk in the Woods and Open Fire

Snow, Ice, Walk in the Woods and Open Fire

Isn’t the weather great? Just ‘right’ for the time of year. And doesn’t that get you into the Christmas mood and light up a fire? Well, it does me, and I just love it. ;-) My chimney is going to be swept on Tuesday and once the fire is going, it is going to stay on. ;-)

I don’t know how the roads are where you are, but in my part of the world the roads are snowy, and yes today VERY icy. In fact, as for the remote area I live in, we are cut off. There isn’t even a chance to go and do any shopping, even if I needed to.

Regardless the weather we went for a three hour walk into the mountains with Shadow. And didn’t he have fun. He loved it. Iced up lanes, glittering snow, blue sky and sunshine. Absolutely beautiful! BUT, needless to say that it is a little bit of a worry because of ‘old’ injuries from my accident a couple of year ago. Lucky me for having had someone to hold onto, as I of course, was slipping and sliding all over the place.

Dinner is served. Isn’t it nice to be so spoiled? ;-)

Detox and Birthday Pictures

Detox and Birthday Pictures

I know, I haven’t posted much lately. But with my unexpected move away in February and than of course some other life-changing personal decisions like leaving my boyfriend after 7.5 years I didn’t feel like writing or even looking at my sites. To tell the truth, it was one of the hardest and most painful decisions I ever had to make. But hey, we learn and I’m on the way to recovery – just goes to show that even I am human ;-) Life is beautiful and I’m a VERY lucky woman. ;-)

On May 12th was my 50th Birthday. I think friends meant well and YES, I had a real surprise party. To be honest, I knew something was ‘going on’, but I never said a thing.

I’m grateful for the handful of people I can call REAL friends and for all the help with moving and of course the support I have been given. The party was GREAT and one of my friends who is very dear to me took a couple of nice pictures of me. I must say, I very rarely like photos of me, but for some reason I’m in love with this one, so I like to share this one below.

So this is me 15 kg (just over 2 st) ‘lighter’, after a STRICT, CONTROLLED and VERY DICIPLINED Detox – DETOX – DETOX… well, I guess in all areas of my life. Looks great if you ask me… ;-)

May 2009 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Is it selfish to have children or selfish not to have children?

Is it selfish to have children or selfish not to have children?

I must say, it is more than odd, but for the last three nights I keep having the same ‘thoughts’, almost dream like before going to sleep. It’s about having babies/children.

NO, NO, NO, before you even ask, not about me having any more, it is really more a question in general.

I’m kind of dwelling on the pro’s and con’s (you know what I mean). Even at a young age I always said that I like to have a big family one day.

Be careful what you wish for is all I can say ;-) …..

For my part, I have no regrets, but still, the question remains….. “Is it selfish to have children or is it selfish not to have children?”

How was your Easter?

How was your Easter?

How are you all on this fine Friday? How was your Easter?! I trust you had a good, relaxed time like me ;-) and enjoyed the days off! Did you do anything nice?

I don’t know about you, but I’m right back into the swing of things and of course ready for the next weekend. I hope the weather will be as good as last weekend, as there is a lot to do on the land. The allotment for an example. Boy oh boy, what have I let myself in for……. The things we do to have our own organic plot of land with fresh fruit and veg. Really, we could do with some helping hands….. Even on this rainy day I think I better get going ;-)

Settling down!

Settling down!

The last 4 weeks have been life-changing. My move went really well as some of you already know. Of course, I do miss my old apartment by the beach. Also laying in the early morning sun on my balcony watching people jog past, walk their dogs, surf, or even do their Tai-Chi exercises. But if you could see where I live now, you wouldn’t have hesitated to move either.

Now my internet is kind of working from my new house, I feel even more settled ;-) … Still, I find myself more pottering around in the garden, or walking round my lake. We have very little visitors up here at the moment and it will be a while yet until the running of the day retreats. I have just been TOOOOO busy-busy with running my new life ;-) ….

Certainly, my life is NEVER boring ;-)

Happy February Two Thousand and Mine!

Happy February Two Thousand and Mine!

Christmas and the New Year have only just passed and I can’t believe that today is already February 1st. Time flies when you’re enjoying yourself. ;-)

A lot of things have happened since October 23rd 2008. ONLY good stuff really, things I have manifested and am still focused on…. It just goes to show, that what you focus on is what you get. And there is more to come. YES, of course, I will tell you about it all later. ;-)

It’s been snowing in my part of the world today. I watched my grandaughter run around in the garden chasing the snowflakes. Aiyana gives me such a lot of pleasure and I enjoy every minute of her truthful innocence. The German she comes out with is amazing considering she was born over here and she has just us speaking to her in english.

I better go back to packing, as you know already I’m moving. I love that time, as it gives me another chance to sort through everthing and simplify.

22 days to go….

Happy two thousand and mine! – THIS IS MY YEAR!

Happy two thousand and mine! – THIS IS MY YEAR!

2008 – well, I think that there are a lot of us who are only to glad to see the back of it.

For my part, I have had a bit of a rough time too, just like the rest of you. Recovering from my accident. Learning to walk again. Learning about the painful end of my relationship after over 7 years in November. Do you know, love does make you blind to see how AND what things really are or maybe I should say love made me ignorant to some sad facts. And do you know, to be honest, I never thought of me being single again, but the endless tears – the disbelief of what was happening – forgiving and forgetting on a daily basis – it just had to be done.

From a VERY personal perspective I must say, “THIS IS MY YEAR”!! and it started surprisingly well.

Here are some dates:

NO alcohol since October 23rd 200
NO smoking since November 23rd 2007 (YES, I am ashamed to say that the stresses of life got the ‘better’ of me, but NOW I got the better of me and I AM back in charge)

I went on a detox for a week with 17 friends (YES, colonics and all), fasted for a week (bloody hard). Had salads on Christmas day and am still having salads to date. I bought myself a dehydrator. I am a RAW FOODER, a vegetarian (since Christmas 2006) and I do NOT have any dairy or eggs either. I feel AWESOME. I am 170cm tall and weigh 65 kg at the moment (and am loosing more). I look GORGEOUS and HEALTHY, and am young, free and single – and in a few weeks I am moving. ;-)

To be fair, this is your year too and it be lovely if you report back to me at the end of it and I hope that you excitedly tell me about the hundreds of beautiful moments, people, things, places and feelings you have manifested. Write them down, then you can’t forget why you’re so happy. ;-)

Merry Christmas to All Of You

Merry Christmas to All Of You

It is time again for the ‘usual’ celebrations. I hope you will enjoy the festive time as much as I will. I have had an invite to good to be true, so I am away for a few days/nights. I cannot wait! ;-)

I hope you like my little video – if nothing else, it made me laugh.

Sun Care Central, ALL Natural Suncare | How do you treat your skin?

Sun Care Central, ALL Natural Suncare | How do you treat your skin?

The weather is not going to get any better and if you are planning that special time away, you may want to consider using natural suncare products. And if you are not, you may want to look into it. What’s the point in spending money on an exotic holiday and trying to save on your health?

This is my youngest daughter Kelly

Kelly

Kelly, is off to Tenerife in a couple of weeks and asked me to place and order online with Sun Care Central – ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS, as she has an allergic reaction to chemical products. Usually she blisters on her chest in NO time already on her first day. Not at all surprising, considering all the chemicals that go into ‘normal’ products.

Kelly’s Natural Suncare Products are in the post and I have also taken the liberty to order the after sun. ;-)

€ 18 each sounds a bargain, taken into account how important it is what we put on our skin!

SPF #4 Natural Sunscreen – 6oz
Our SPF 4 lotion, with special blends of Rose Hips Oil, Aloe, Titanium, and other exotics is formulated to PROMOTE safe, even tanning over most of the body. These should be used on those parts of the body with better sun tolerance (thicker skin away from the bone), and those areas already having a good base tan.

Pure Aloe & Tea Tree Oil – 6oz
Our Pure Aloe with Tea Tree Oil combines the exceptional healing power of Pure Aloe and Tea Tree Oil with the soothing & cooling effects of Eucalyptus for immediate relief of sunburn pain. Promotes healing of sun-damaged skin, and should always be used with our Rosehip Aloe for best results, especially for salvaging sunburned skin & converting it to tanned skin.

In addition to being excellent for sunburns, our Pure Aloe is also very effective with insect bites, kitchen burns, shaving and other skin irritations, jellyfish stings and, when used with our Rosehip Aloe, Eczema and Rosacea. Keep on ice or in your refrigerator for maximum soothing & cooling and for best overall results.

If you are already using natural products, you may want to share your views with us.

Chemical and Natural Ingredients list – SHOCKING what we put on our skin.
