Stop Having BAD Days!

Stop Having BAD Days!

How many times do you hear people sigh and saying “ I am having a bad day”? Well, I hear it all of the time and that’s not all. If I don’t hear it, I see it in their faces. The unhappiness… the grief… the distraught looks in their faces… I can see their pain, whatever it is that bothers them in their body language… YES, their posture. They seem ‘vacant’.

“What is happening?” You are having a bad day? How can anyone have an entire, a WHOLE bad day? Or even a WHOLE bad week? And how about WHOLE bad month? Not to mention a WHOLE bad year?

And when you talk to people they mention some kind of problem as they perceive it, or some kind of ‘pending’ situation. People don’t seem to be thinking about what they are doing. They are going through the motions. They waste BIG amounts of time. They are less productive. Their mind keeps wondering to negative thought patterns such as the weather, their bills, work, the neighbours, partners, kids, they don’t know what to wear, their in-laws will be over soon and there is more…these thoughts destroy productivity!

We all need to focus… Be in the moment…

You can be very powerful when you have the ability to shut off all inner mind chatter and when you ‘block’ all outside noise and sounds, disruptions and YES, even excitement. Anyone who can block problems, disturbances and daily life when they need to concentrate on what they are doing stops making ‘silly’ mistakes and you will get things done faster AND better as well as having less stress and anxiety in your life.

… and than, you will stop having “Bad Days”.

Voices in Your Head – How is Your Ego?

Voices in Your Head – How is Your Ego

The Ego is the definition of what it is we have learned about ourselves, from relationships and life from school, peers and of course not to forget the media. But all Ego information is limited.

Some find it easier than others to tell the difference between the two voices, or forms of consciousness. These voices in your head are your Super Ego, Ego and your ID. The Ego is the leader and is completely dis-embodied from the wisdom of the heart and on the other hand, eternal consciousness is the intelligence of the heart.

All of your life, two people have been living in you.

=> The Ego – demanding, hysterical, garrulous, calculating
=> The hidden Spiritual being you really are, whose still voice of wisdom you rarely hear or even listen to.

The Ego may seem like a pest, but really, its job is to look after you, to protect you. When you try stepping out of your comfort zone, the Ego will hold you back. It takes its job a little to serious at times; it is protective with its biggest fear being that you get hurt. It isn’t trying to be negative, nasty or mean, it does not want to disappoint you and tries’ doing what it thinks is best for you. The Ego has also very useful functions. It kicks in to remind you for example that when you maybe burned yourself in the past to keep away from the hot iron, the hot water or maybe the fire. When you listened to your Ego, you stared depending on it so it could protect you.

There is nothing you can do to get around the Ego, as it is there to protect you. You have to acknowledge it. Take time to listen to that “other” voice in your head. Let it finish, regardless of what it has to say. Your Ego will not listen, if you don’t have strong points. Be fully aware of that voice and do NOT let it have its own way. Talk back to it in your most possible convincing way and compromise with it until you win it over onto your side.

Do NOT talk yourself out of something that you really desire, that you really want to do. The voice that is trying to talk you out of doing what it is you wish to do is the voice of your Ego.

Dyslexia – Use It To Your Advantage

Dyslexia – Use It To Your Advantage

Personally I STRONGLY believe and KNOW that dyslexics are special people. AND you should be aware and read more about it….. isn’t it obvious that their sensory perception is more developed? It is to me…

Guess what?

Some of the most famous people like Thomas Edison, Cher, Walt Disney, Richard Branson, Jay Leno, Whoopi Goldberg, Ted Turner and of course, Winston Churchill all have one thing in common…

… they were ALL dyslexic!

One of the roles that made each of them so famous required a lot of reading and it is no secret how hard it is for a dyslexic person to read. But being dyslexic, did not hold any of these great people back from being all they were created to be.

Most people struggle, because they think they are lacking something and if they had it, it would make them popular and successful. But really, we already have all we need to be popular as well as successful and we just have to ‘learn’ how to use what we got to our advantage.

Remember, you already have ALL you need and what holds you back is not what you are, it is what you think and believe you are not.

Follow Your Dreams – Simply AMAZING!

Follow Your Dreams – Simply AMAZING!

Nobody should be told what they can’t do.

Success is in everyone. If you have a dream do something about it.

Follow Your Dreams

Music: “Now we are free” ~ Enya

Always Remember:

“Never ignore the little things.

Remember 12 inches make a foot,

3 feet make a yard,

1760 yards make a mile,

and 26 miles make a marathon.

Attack the challenge of a marathon one inch at a time.”

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

The Bigger Picture – What Does That Mean to You?

The Bigger Picture – What Does That Mean?

Whenever we come up against something in life, when something irritates us, we tend to dwell on the details of that encounter. It can take over our minds – it can totally fill the ‘picture’ of our perception. I am sure that we all get ‘side tracked’!

We have all done it before and all have the ability to take a step back and look at the situation in a larger context. When we do, we discover that there is more to the situation we find ourselves in than we realised. There is always some viewpoint that gives a meaning to the things we experience.

By asking yourself, “What am I being invited to learn here?”, you shift your perspectives. There is also a different approach which can be used to shift your thinking from “either/or” to “both/and.” It is best if you find similarities instead of focusing on differences.

I come across the following story today, which may make the above a bit clearer.

From an unknown source:

A Hindu master grew tired of his apprentice’s complaints. One morning, he instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.

“How does it taste?” the master asked.

“Bitter,” spat the apprentice.

Then the master directed the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. Once the apprentice swirled his handful of salt in the water, the old man said, “Now drink from the lake.”

As the water dripped down the young man’s chin, the master asked, “How does it taste?”

“Fresh,” remarked the apprentice.

“Do you taste the salt?” asked the master.

“No,” said the young man.

The master explained, “The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains exactly the same. However, the amount of bitterness we taste depends on the container we put the pain in. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things …. Stop being a glass. Become a lake.”

Become a lake? Now the question is, HOW do we become a lake?

Email me with the tools that work or have worked best for you. I’d like to hear from you.

Something for all of us to remember:
Whenever there’s more in sight – we get more insights!

Randy Pausch on Oprah – The Most Inspiring Video I have Ever Seen

Randy Pausch on Oprah – The Most Inspiring Video I have Ever Seen

Randy Pausch has done a great many things, that’s for sure. He is 47 years old and knows that he is dying.

Last year in September my Webmaster already did a post:
Randy Pausch |Video | Be Inspired Video but below is a follow up video from the Oprah Show. It may only be 11 minutes and 32 seconds long, but you should watch it to the end.

To me it is one of the most inspiring videos I have seen and maybe after watching it, you may just see your own life very differently.

Experience is what you get, if you don’t get what you want.
