Barack Obama Elected 44th President of the United States
A historic election. Barack Obama wins as first African-American President. Would we have expected anything different, I wonder?
Countless days, countless hours the United States and the rest of the world have been anxiously waiting for the conclusion of the 44th President election to be ‘over’.
After earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, wars, financial catastrophes and terrorist attacks we for one reason or another good reason to rejoice in unison.
November 5th, 2008 the world has woken up to a new President of the United States. Barack has overwhelmingly been supported. He is said to represent change, commitment, responsibility, but most of all hope.
Barack Obama promised to be a leader for all. He promised to listen to all. Briefly, but profoundly and sincerely Obama began with his victory speech at about 12:00 am this morning. His speech was inspirational and motivational. It instilled a sense of pride in the citizens of the country and feelings of hope that was long lost. He directed his heartfelt thanks to the many people who voted for him.
Obama says, “change will come”. I don’t know about you, but I certainly hope he will live up to his promises!
