What are you thankful for?

I AM THANKFUL FOR

This is very beautiful and a nice reminder. Read it every day and never forget the words! ;-)

The partner who hogs the covers every night,
because he Is not out with someone else.

The child who is not cleaning his room, but
Is watching TV, because that means he Is at
home and not on the streets.

For the taxes that I pay,
because it means that I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party,
because it means that I have been
surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug,
because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work,
because it means I am in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing,
because it means I have a home.

For the parking spot I find at the far
end of the parking lot, because It means
I am capable of walking and that I have
been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating/cooling bill,
because it means I am warm/refreshed.

For the lady behind me in church that
sings off key, because it means that
I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and Ironing,
because it means I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at
the end of the day, because it means
I have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the
early morning hours, because it
means I am alive.

And finally…

For too much e-Mail,
because it means I have friends who
are thinking of me.

My Fake Baby with High Heels and Toupee

My Fake Baby with High Heels and Toupee

How about this? Fake Babies? And not only that, you can dress it with “Baby‘s First Heels” and if that’s not enough, how about a ‘great’ choice of a Babytoupee? Can you claim child-benefit for one of these?

Some may call it the extraordinary world of “re-borns” – life like dolls. I am not sure what I’d call it, but definitely not ‘extraordinary’. I actually find it kind of a ‘sick’ thing to even want to have one of these ‘dead-looking babies’ in the house, not to mention holding it, cuddling it, taking ‘one’ out shopping, for a walk, to visit friends, dress it, pretend to feed it, change its nappy, washing ’it’ and pretending it is real. And yes, even buying a car chair and strapping it in for safety. Doesn’t seem right to me. Don’t these people have better things to do with their time? But than we are all different.

There seems to be a small group of women who even collect these ‘things’. Amazing what people make money with and what others fall for. You can even get these ‘babies’ on eBay for about £200. I’d rather spend my money on something that’s REAL and not as it states a “FAKE” baby.

Well, that’s my opinion anyway.

Dixie Chicks: Not Ready To Make Nice

Dixie Chicks: Not Ready To Make Nice

Annonymous by e-mail

I do like this type of music. It reminds me a lot of my time in the US in 1999 where I have nice memories. Still, this”Not Ready To Make Nice” must be one of the most ultimate break-up songs…. just how I feel myself at the moment ;-(

Love Affairs: What Would You Do?

LYRICS:

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

I’m through with doubt
There’s nothing left for me to figure out
I’ve paid a price
And I’ll keep paying

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I know you said
Can’t you just get over it
It turned my whole world around
And I kind of like it

I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’
It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

What it is you think I should

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

Learn Buteyko with Christopher Drake

Learn Buteyko with Christopher Drake

In the 1950’s Professor K.P. Buteyko, a Russian medical scientist discovered a profound link between disease and the way we breathe.

Buteyko pioneered his method in Russia and came up against resistance from the general medical institutions. His theory between carbon dioxide and oxygen (the blood gases) was flawed and considered to be of no use within allopathic medicine. Professor Buteyko suffered from high blood pressure himself and therefore he used the method on himself first. The method worked with great effect and Buteyko spent another 45 years beyond his medically predicted end. He dedicated this time to develop and refine his method.

Buteyko taught his method not only to patients with a variety, a multitude of chronic conditions, but also to many medical professionals and others. Today some of them are known as Buteyko Practitioners.

I have recently taken part in a 5-day course with Christopher Drake and personally I find that the need for learning the Buteyko method is clearly evident. You be surprised.

Christopher Drake has been involved with the Buteyko Method of breathing since it was introduced in the early 1990’s.

“So far Western medicine believes that nature is stupid and one can interfere and recast it with impunity. Now you have learnt why nature is doing certain things and how sensibly we have to act towards it”
~ Professor K.P. Buteyko

Visions of Our Students Today

Visions of Our Students Today

This 4 minutes 44 second short video summarises some of the most important characteristics of our students today… how they learn. What they need to learn. Or how about their goals, their hopes and their dreams. What will their lives be like? What kind of changes they will experience in their lifetime?

A Vision of Students Today

What’s the point, I’d ask myself…

Recharge Your Batteries

Recharge Your Batteries

We all have a lot to be thankful for. One thing I’m grateful for is my apartment. It’s beautiful with its parkett flooring, open plan kitchen, large glass sliding door onto the balcony, which enjoys direct sea views. What more can I ask?

With the weather being so nice today I dropped everything, opened the balcony door as wide as possible and decided to lay in the lounge on my sun lounger in the sun. Would you believe that my face was all glowy just after 30 minutes, and that in the middle of November. So realaxing to feel the sun hitting my face and listening to my new personal development tape. I feel recharged and relaxed tonight. You should give it a go yourself. Recharge your batteries! ;-)

By the way, my apartment is not the only thing I’m grateful for.

What are you grateful for? What did you do with your morning? Anything interesting?

Some time ago I went to Birmingham for a few days for a two day workshop followed by a seminar by Neale Donald Walsch. Neale was brilliant and if you get a chance you should go and see him. I’m sure some of you have been already ;-)
