Love Yourself | Be Independent of other Peoples Opinions
Without exception, we all know that we find ourselves wondering what other people think about us. At times your mind can be a bit ‘obsessive’ and compulsive about particular thoughts, beliefs as well as opinions other people could have about us. Quite often this happens when we look up to someone or when we try to leave a good impression, as we want them to like us, love us, approve of us, accept us, think highly of us or we may not like them to think negative about us for one reason or another. We think that would make us feel loved, safe and free.
Just think about it. We really do not need anybody’s approval or acceptance, neither appreciation before we can give it to ourselves. We are the energy and consciousness of love itself. Without doubt, once you realise this and give that love to yourself and others, you will be forever free from the opinions of others.
Your ego has been “programmed” by society to seek approval, acceptance, and appreciation from your outer world. At your core you have unlimited access anytime to the infinite source of love beneath you. Once you commit yourself to the lightness as well as the openness of your very own being, the ego will vanish and won’t be found anywhere. The ego is as real as your own shadow. Still we build our whole relationships around its illusionary reality. If you chose to let go of the opinion of others about you, and chose to love yourself just as you are, what would be the worst thing that could happen?
Peoples opinions of you are a deep unconscious projection, a reflection of what they see OR don’t want to see about themselves. They avoid looking inside of themselves. Everyone is a mirror for each other.
Just love yourself as you are and do not take anybody’s projection or opinion about you.
